Subject: Obama Takes First Step in Banning All Firearms
On Wednesday Obama Took the First Major Step in a Plan to Ban All Firearms in the United States

On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto.

The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better.

not gonna happen.
congress has to approve all treaties. "yeah, but when have they followed the law?", you say....
well, when they know that they would piss off millions of american gun owners who wouldn't hesitate in the least to call bullshit on something so far off the rails as this.
If they're going to ban all guns in the US they are going to have to build public consensus about it first, which they are very far from right now (and getting further away from if sales numbers are any indication...)

so the current administration would prefer being clubbed to death with a blunt instrument over being cleanly shot to put of their misery?

We already have states pursuing their rights under the 10th amendment, effectively telling the feds to pound sand when it comes to gun laws and gun manufacturing and regulation of gun sales.

When Osama and his minions try to go for the big score the reaction of the states will be horrendous. Possible civil war if the feds try to enforce their crap.

My guns are staying right where they are at. My ammo may stay put or it may be going downrange.

exactly my point...
i've seen plenty of crimes involving guns lately, and yet no immediate outcry for further gun control legislation. if the mood were right, it would be the topic du jour. but they won't bite that off because the majority party in the house/senate already has a tenuous grasp, and that would blow it for them. maybe after the '10 elections are over they will start trying to shape public opinion on the matter, but not now.

Dude you are so right!

Those critters spend 99.99999% of their time
working at being reelected and padding their
pockets.

That they have to wait until after the elections
are over to see if they even have a job before
they can see what more damage they can do
to us...

imho

Not only would such a treaty have to be ratified by the Senate but it takes a super majority to ratify a treaty instead of a simple majority. A full 2/3s of the Senate has to vote to uphold it, Obama does not have close to that much backing.

This treaty has been floating around for years and the news organizations bring it out ever so often when they need ratings.

Due to the continuing overpopulation of the planet, the temptation for Governments to return to the good old days of winnowing out the peasants, will likely return...

Enforcing a myriad of small stupid nonsensical, biased laws, that make everyone a virtual criminal or a potential criminal, taking your rights, and small arms away, is an absolutely essential step to achieve that.

The law-making has already begun, and is tightening every day. It doesn't apply to the rich socialised elites however for some reason, just the proles.

Hollywood...mass media...teevee...This is really where change is fostered. Everything that has happened in the last 60 years has happened under the watch of teevee. Without their consent these changes would not have occurred.

That is a dangerous game that Obama is playing when it comes to taking guns away from the U.S. citizens. When you ban guns, only outlaws will have guns and that will be a whole bunch of outlaws in the U.S. I do not think that this will happen but I am being extremely optimistic on this.

The only people that will turn them in are the ones that are too effing stupid to realize what the hell is happening

It is better they NOT be armed.

Meanwhile if just 0.5% refuses to comply that is almost 2 MILLION HARDCORE MOFO"S THAT REALIZE WHAT THE SCORE REALLY IS THAT WILL DEFEND LIFE, PROPERTY AND EACH OTHER TO THE DEATH.

China with over a billion people isnt bringing that type pf pain.

THINK ABOUT IT.
